Sensei Robert Brown was one of John Keehan/Count Dante's first students from the early to late 1960s. Sensie Brown was also a Chicago Policeman.
Sensei Brown recounts his experience in the arts going back to studying Judo in the late 1950s, moving to aikido, developing an interest in karate and finally meeting John Keehan. He also recounts the difficulty of being a black student looking for an instructor in the martial arts.
